This series of paintings combines the best of cinema and pop culture. Sometimes the cinema is the pop culture reference and juxtaposed with a seemingly random image other times it's both. Taking the stills of a movie I create the background while the foreground tests your cinematic knowledge. These create visual puzzles once solved creates an "ah-ha" moment. Left on their own the paintings have all the color, pop, tension and detail a viewer needs to be captivated.
